Summer Internship Opportunity
We invite motivated and curious students to submit internship proposals and inquiries to join our historic estate team. As a site dedicated to preservation, education, and public engagement, we offer meaningful, hands-on learning experiences across a wide range of professional fields.
We welcome proposals in, but not limited to, the following areas:
• Museum studies (collections management, archives, exhibit development)
• Preservation and conservation
• Landscaping and groundskeeping
• Marketing, communications, and digital media
• Hospitality and visitor services
• Tourism and public programming
• Administrative and operational support
Applicants are encouraged to propose projects or areas of focus that align with both their academic goals and the mission of the estate.
Compensation:
Paid internships are available for qualified candidates. Compensation details will be discussed during the selection process and may vary depending on the scope and duration of the internship.

We are currently seeking volunteers who like:
- Maintenance - Small repairs, painting, etc.
- History - Artifact care, maintenance and organization.
- Events - Planning and preparing events and fundraisers and/or helping day-of!
- Photography - Estate grounds, interior spaces and during events.
- Gardening - Adopt a garden for a year or more! Maintain plants and weed.
- Lawn Care - From mowing and weed trimming, to edging and picking up sticks.
- Board of Directors - Help us sustain and grow into the future!
- Education - Lumberjack Days and field trips, presentations and programming!
- Office Tasks - Misc. from newsletters and mailings to one-off tasks.
