Friends of Linden Hill: Preserving and sharing the history and spirit of the Musser/Weyerhaeuser estate on the Mississippi River.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Linden Hill is one of Minnesota’s most multifaceted destinations.

Situated on nine well-groomed acres overlooking the Mississippi River, the Linden Hill Historic Estate is located within walking distance of historic downtown Little Falls, MN. Built in 1898, the neighboring homes of the Weyerhaeuser (green mansion) and Musser (white mansion) families now offer the perfect historical setting for educational experiences, volunteering, special events, group lodging and more.  The mansions, along with most structures on the property, are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Today, the Linden Hill Historic Estate is managed by the nonprofit known as the Friends of Linden Hill, Inc.  The organization is working diligently to preserve the estate while also telling the stories and carrying on the legacies of the Musser and Weyerhaeuser families.  The Weyerhaeuser mansion is available seasonally for touring while the Musser mansion and pavilion are available to host private events and gatherings of all kinds.  The grounds are open year-round for self-guided tours unless a private event is in progress. Boasting original, time-period furnishings and decor, visiting or hosting an event at Linden Hill is like taking a step back in time.

Join the efforts of the Friends of Linden Hill to help preserve and share the Linden Hill Historic Estate by becoming a member or volunteer, attending an event, hosting an event, or making a tax-deductible donation.  Your support is instrumental in keeping this priceless estate a treasure to the Little Falls community and beyond for generations to come.

"This place is beautiful! We stayed there overnight for my sister in laws wedding. I loved learning about the history of the two houses when we took the tour of the green house! Everyone was so knowledgeable and friendly! This was a truly unique experience and I will never forget it!"

"Linden Hill Mansion was a beautiful place to host our wedding. We had the ceremony and the reception in the same place – which was great because we had a lot of out of town visitors. We were able to stay in the white mansion for the weekend which made for a fun and beautiful wedding weekend! [There's] lots of local vendors to choose from to support you wedding, and a summer wedding in Minnesota? Beautiful! This place is great for a vintage wedding."

Leanne J.

"I love this place. It truly is a step back into our history with all of the original furnishings and more. If you have a chance stop in and view the "Christmas at the Mansions" well worth your while. I wouldn't miss it!!"
