Dr. Alexander L. Ames’ essay highlighting Linden Hill and the lumber industry in Little Falls was published as the cover story in the Fall 2023 issue of Minnesota History Magazine. Dr. Ames served as an intern for the Friends of Linden Hill in 2010 while studying for his master’s degree at Saint Cloud State University. Lakeland PBS’s Justin Othoudt highlights Linden Hill’s museum during the InFOCUS segment that aired on June 9th, 2023. The museum is housed in the Weyerhaeuser (green) mansion and features original family heirlooms that now serve as artifacts from a bygone era. Linden Hill doesn’t take care of itself, and we are lucky to have such faithful and hardworking volunteers to help carry the load. ❤️ 💪🏻🍁These volunteers are enjoying a quick snack and warm drink before heading back out for more fall cleanup. From replacing lightbulbs and cleaning lampposts (there are dozens) to installing snow markers, hauling benches, draining hoses, stocking salt for the winter, and tackling what feels like an endless supply of leaves, there was plenty to accomplish before the season changes.These are just a handful of the behind-the-scenes efforts that help protect the buildings, care for the historic grounds, and keep this a welcoming place for our community and visitors.We’re so grateful for the volunteers shown here and many more not pictured who show up, roll up their sleeves, and tackle jobs both big and small.✨ ...
🍁Volunteer Opportunity🍁 10/28/26Fall cleanup is happening TODAY at Linden Hill and all are welcome to come lend a hand.🙌🏻Beginning at 9AM, volunteers will gather to help put the grounds to rest for the season ahead.
